  • Old loco drive Flying Scotsman DCC conversion is it possible?

    Hi all

Anyone know if it's possible to convert the old Dapol Loco driver flying Scotsman to DCC

if yes got any tips or guides to the fitting.

thanks in advance for any help with this

Yes, take the tender top off and pull the blanking plate out, then fit a 6 pin chip. Main issue is making sure the drive shaft does not separate as it can be a pain to reconnect

Hi sorry those instructions are for the current tender drive model, this is for the earlier loco drive version, that predated DCC.

      thanks

Looks like someone is pulling a fast one

this might well actually be a Minitrix loco in a Dapol box, so ignore this request.

        thanks

Hi, I agree. Minitrix will (probably) have working lights and be a metal body.
We have never made an A3 other than the 'current' model.
DCC Supplies (01905 621999) offer a conversion service for Minitrix and GF models so maybe worth contacting.
      Working...
