Yes 92051 has been specified with a BR1C tender and single chimney (18A Shedplate)

Hi Dapol. I'm intending to order 92051 from your new range of 9Fs. Does this model definitely have a single chimney and a BR1C tender?

Thanks for the info Joel.
With regard to 2S-013-006 9F 92079, could you please give more details regard the lamp, eg separate detail part, detachable, moulded into body, working? Thanks.

Hello Jeff, thanks for your comments. yes the last Pines Express was as you described a mixture of Mk1's and Gresley coaches. We thought this set could be used in conjunction with other manufactures Mk1 ones if desired to re-create the train as shown on the links

We will also include Pines Express plates as well.
Hope that helps

I am finding it difficult to relate to the 2S-013-010 set - the Pines Express was a Manchester-Bournemouth service, and all the images I have of it to hand show either ex-LMS or BR Mark 1 coaching stock, apart from one which I have of what is purported to be the 'last Pines Express' which has a couple of Gresleys behind the tender of 92220 "Evening Star".
There may have been the odd stray ex-LNER coach turn up once in a while, but not to the scale of having a complete train...

These are being advertised on various sites for advance orders, but with photos of previous versions. I can't find them at the Dapol Shop site.
Could you please state which of the black versions will be weathered, and which tenders will go with which, thank you.

Joel Dapol I am not sure how far down the line this new batch of BR Std 9Fs is, but do you think it's possible to update the connecting rods to stainless steel or any stronger metal? A few years ago I bought a Dapol Std 7 and within mins of running it started to bind and the connecting rods kept bending. There is slack in the mechanism, but if it's assembly slightly off it wants to self destruct.
I am assuming that the connecting rods are etched. If so a change is material should be rather easy?

Thanks for your query, we have made no changes to the design here so the chassis will be the same as previous releases.

Good to hear of a new run but will they have plastic or metal chassis please? Tks

I'd like one with the big BR1F tender--these were particularly prevalent in Eastern England.

I would certainly want another one, maybe two. Any of the locos numbered that would have been allocated to the GC and/or Midland Line. My suggestion from 3+years back of a Crosti-Boiler version would be welcome if viable.

A clean "Evening Star" in the BR Green livery is what I am after. Need it to go along with my Dapol "Morning Star"
