Top marks for owning up to the error Joel and team. I know very few manufacturers who'd actually own up to a mistake. And I know a manufacturer who would straight up block you for any feedback. As I said earlier, this error has been made before, Heljan's first painted sample of their O gauge Class 50 had the same error and thankfully spotted in time.
Well what can we learn from this though, I did look through the Class 33 sub-forum and I haven't been able to find a thread showing either the artwork or samples. I could be horrible at look for threads though. I found a thread for decorated samples for the production run before that in 2016 - 2017. I think Dapol should introduce a standard procedure where:-
- models are announced
- artwork is shown
- painted samples are shown
- factory painted samples are shown
- models are released
I know that you'll go through this process, but not all of it is published on the Dapol Digest for feedback. The level of communication must be increased a little as it was when the Dapol Digest first started up.

I guess we have to hold our hands up to this one, the V is so flat and from the above artwork snip, the radius is so large, we missed it. The decorated samples were also around for a while and it was not spotted. Our apologies, I hope it does not spoil the enjoyment too much :-(

Oddly enough the first painted samples for Heljan's O gauge Class 50 had the same error. Curved instead of the flattened V.

I see it. It should be two straight lines meeting in a very flat V shape. Instead it is a curve.

All the pictures I have seen, it is angular. I am assuming you're referring to the white line that divides the bodyside livery from the yellow warning panel?
